Hardware Recommendations
While Simple Appointments can run on nearly any computer with 200 MB of free space, we recommend the following minimums to ensure the best performance.
Internet Access
Simple Appointments requires an always-on Internet connection, such as Cable or DSL, with the Static IP option. Contact your Internet provider for more information on getting a Static IP - it may take a few days to activate.
Server Computer
This is the computer that Simple Appointments is installed on. One server computer can provide Simple Appointments access a virtually limitless number of other computers. The server computer does all the work of Simple Appointments, and thus had the highest hardware needs.

Client Computers
We recommend a set up with 3 computers in the studio. One at the front desk for scheduling appointments, one in the office for administration, and one on the dance floor for instructor use. Using the front desk as the server will ensure that even if the local network goes down, the program will still be accessable there for students to book lessons. The other two computers simple connect to the server computer using a web browser. They have no hardware requirements, save that they are able to access the internet. A 17” or larger monitor that can display at least 1280×1024 resolution is recommended to make sure that the entire lesson sheet can be displayed without having to scroll.
Printers
In order to print reports, you must have a working printer of any variety. To print lesson slips and receipts, you must have a Dymo LabelWriter 400 Turbo.
