Generating vs. Viewing Franchise Reports
For the Weekly Royalty Report and the Staff Performance Report, the “Generate” and “View” buttons have the same effect. The report is generated from lesson and enrollment data, then displayed.
For the Summary of Studio Business Report, however, the two buttons perform differently. The “Generate” button generates the report from lesson and enrollment data and displays it. The “View” button, on the other hand, uses the values calculated the last time the report was generated. This allows you to make sure that the report will permanently match what was on the hard copy sent to Arthur Murray International, and that your YTD and PYTD numbers will be correct. When you are ready to print the hard copy, use the “Generate” button to fill the report with the latest values. After the hard copy is printed and mailed, NEVER use the “Generate” button, or manually edit the report. Only use the “View” button to view the report.
